Spectacular Fireworks for the Christening of AIDAluna

AIDAluna, the newest ship of the kissing-lips fleet, will be on her maiden voyage from 22 March until 4 April 2009. The 14-days Western Europe journey starts in Hamburg and leads to the first stop, Le Havre, via the English Channel. The next stops will be the Spanish port towns Santander and La Coruña before the ship reaches the cultural metropolis Lisbon which the guests of AIDAluna will experience by day and night. The journey then continues to Cádiz, Tanger, Valencia and Barcelona before it ends in Palma de Majorca, the site of the christening.

There will be spectacular fireworks in front of the beautiful scenery of the port of Palma de Majorca on the occasion of the christening of AIDAluna on the evening of 4 April 2009.

It will glamorously light up the night sky above the ship and the historic district of Palma with showers of sparks. Highlight: The guests of the maiden voyage will have the chance to be part of the christening event with gala buffet and VIPs. A range of stars have announced themselves for the christening of AIDAluna. The international top model Franziska Knuppe will be the godmother. The successful German band Pur, the star violinist David Garrett, the pop group Marquess and singer Loona will care for rousing entertainment. Entertainer Barbara Schöneberger and TV host Pierre Geisensetter will present the festivities.

A fascinating live program with percussion and saxophone as well as walking acts awaits the guests on board AIDAluna. The popular comedian Kaya Yanar will care for a good laugh with his unique sense of humour.
